Hobgoblin – Wychwood Brewery – Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz #22

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill for another episode of Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz … for the second episode of run number six!

This week Slosh, Buuz and their special guest host Random Dan try Hobgoblin from the Wychwood Brewery – http://www.wychwood.co.uk/

This beer is one of the most unique ones we have tried since we started this series … a deep ruby red colour when held up to the sun … a nice smell … and then once the beer hits your tongue it is a multi-part journey of different tastes … it is almost like trying 3 or 4 beers in one mouthful … definitely worth trying … truly unique ..

Fallen Angel – Jungle Rain – Slosh’s Sauces #90

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill … it is Friday so that means it is time for another hot sauce review!

This time Slosh tries Fallen Angel from Jungle Rain – http://junglerain.com.au/

This was an interesting sauce … the flavour of the ginger really shone through immediately … but it was not overpowering at all … that hint of ginger … the sauce has a subtle but overall nice taste that I feel is more of a complimentary flavour and will really shine with pork chops … mmmm pork …

Old Fart Ale – The Old Fart Brewing Co – Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz #21

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill for another episode of Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz … for the very first episode of run number six!

This week Slosh, Buuz and their special guest host Random Dan try Old Fart Ale from The Old Fart Brewing Co – which I can’t actually find a website for … so you can find Old Fart Ale here – https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_178142/old-fart-ale-500ml

This ale is a true Yorkshire beer … a 5% alcohol full pint bottle … the first taste is fruity and hoppy with a pleasant aftertaste that doesn’t hang around too long … beautiful amber colour … We were really stoked with this one … it was bought as a novelty beer that turned out to be a genuinely good drop … I’ll be buying this one again …

Ghost Ship – A Ghostly Pale Ale – Adnams – Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz #20

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill for another episode of Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz … for the last episode of run number five …

This week Slosh, Buuz and SpacePeanut try their first canned beer of the entire series – Ghost Ship from Adnams.- http://adnams.co.uk/beer/our-beers/adnams-ghost-ship/

Apparently we are unable to say the word Adnams without the world going crazy … still …

The most obvious thing that we noticed with this beer was that you could really taste the can … you really can taste that can … Buuz didn’t really rate it at all and it was definitely the worst of the entire run … there is nothing wrong with this beer but there was just nothing exceptional that jumped out at us …

The Ghost Sauce – Scotty O’Hotty – Slosh’s Sauces #89

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill … it is Tuesday so that means it is time for another hot sauce review!

This time Slosh tries the Ghost Sauce Sauce from Scotty O’Hotty – http://www.scottyohotty.com/

Just like all of the sauces from Scotty O’Hotty this is delicious … the same perfect mix of all the ingredients and the same great consistency as all of Scotty O’Hotty’s other sauces … I just wish it was a tiny bit hotter … well … a lot hotter … but for people who want great taste and not too much heat … this is perfect …

Broadside – Adnams – Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz #19

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill for another episode of Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz … for the third episode of run number five …

This week Slosh, Buuz and SpacePeanut try Broadside Ale from Adnams.- http://adnams.co.uk/beer/our-beers/adnams-broadside/

Apparently we are unable to say the word Adnams without the world going crazy …

This beer had an absolutely awesome colour the moment we poured it in the glass … a really full flavoured beer … so many different flavours in every mouthful … it was almost likes waves of different flavours having a dance party on your tongue … this is one of the best beers we have tried since we started this series … I will definitely be drinking this again and again and again …

to quote their website “Brewed with Pale Ale and Chocolate malt and First Gold hops, Broadside is a dark ruby red beer rich in fruitcake aromas, almonds and conserved fruit”

Premium Habanero Sauce – Scotty O’Hotty – Slosh’s Sauces #88

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill … it is Tuesday so that means it is time for another hot sauce review!

This time Slosh tries the Premium Habanero Sauce from Scotty O’Hotty – http://www.scottyohotty.com/

This is pretty damn good … the same perfect mix of all the ingredients and the same great consistency as all of Scotty O’Hotty’s other sauces … not quite as hot as I would have liked but perfect for non-chilli heads who want to get some heat as well as great flavour into their food … it goes great on almost everything …

Big Eye IPA – Ballast Point Brewing Company – Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz #18

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill for another episode of Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz … for the second episode of run number five …

This week Slosh, Buuz and SpacePeanut try Big Eye IPA from the Ballast Point Brewing Company … You can find them here – http://www.ballastpoint.com/

This beer is strong … a really strong and bitter initial flavour … you can really taste the alcohol in this one and it is quite hoppy as well … SpacePeanut didn’t really rate it that much but Buuz really enjoyed it … he is our resident Pale/IPA fan in the group though … I liked it more than most pale ales that I have tried mostly because of the strong taste … definitely not our favourite of the run … but still vastly superior to anything that we tried back in run number four – the run of which we do not speak …

Welcome to our brand new weekly series … Beer O’Clock with Slosh & Buuz … which is going to be coming out every Sunday afternoon … and is 50% a reason for me and my old friend Buuz to hang out and drink beer once a month and 50% to share some strange and random beers that we find over the month … we will be trying beer we KNOW we won’t like … beers we think we might like … or anything that has a strange or interesting name … Please do leave any comments or suggestions down below on what YOU guys would like to see us cover in this series … what you would like to hear us cover on the beer … if you want more background information on the brewers … that kind of thing!

Jalapeno Pineapple Hot Sauce – Heartbreaking Dawns – Slosh’s Sauces #87

Welcome back to Slosh’s Bar & Grill … it is Friday so that means it is time for another hot sauce review!

This time Slosh and MammaCass try Jalapeno Pineapple Hot Sauce from Heartbreaking Dawns – http://www.heartbreakingdawns.com/

We were sent this quite a long time ago by one of our Patreon supporters (thanks again Mike!) … and it has been sitting there until I could get MammaCass back in front of the camera again …

A really chunky consistency with a very Mexican smell … it really didn’t taste like what I was expecting … I was expecting a bit of sweetness from the pineapple but it never came … we tried it on pizza the night after and with roast beef in a salad wrap and it was awesome … it would be great on tacos and burritos and anything else like that …

Everybody who wants to see MammaCass try the Habanero sauce from Heartbreaking Dawns let her know down below … she will be convinced!
